This is exactly how colonization and Genocide have an insidious impact on communities, families, and individuals. It creates a blueprint of abuse, trauma, anger, disconnection, numbing (addiction) that ripples for generations. I specialize in intergenerational trauma as a therapist and have seen the effects in my own family (Native American). Our misogynistic/“Patriarchal”/colonizer world is toxic and it is at the root of dysfunction/pain in many families without people being aware of this.

This was an excellent read. Sooooo important!!! I absolutely love how you highlighted the mirroring of white supremacy behavior within our own communities, homes and dynamics. It’s really mind blowing how many different ways this shows up!!! Really appreciate how you expanded on your original idea.

Great read! I don't think we talk enough about the connection between the history of abuse our ancestors experienced from the American government & society and the way our families not only perpetuate that same abuse, but excuse it and villainize the abused the exact same way.
